Today marks the last day of 2019 and this has been an amazing year for
Buy from a Black Woman. Check out our Top Five Highlights below:
1. Buy from a Black Woman Awareness Day 2019
Every November, the Black Woman Business Community gathers together to celebrate Black Women Business Owners. This year, during Buy from a Black Woman Awareness Day, (Nov. 19), you could discover the #BuyFromABlackWoman Hashtag being used in over 45.2k post! You guys made that happen!
2. The Black Woman Business Grant awarded THREE Black Women Business Owners!
2019 was the year for growth as we opened up two new categories for the Black Woman Business Grant. In addition to our signature grant, we now have a Buy from a Black Woman Project Grant and a Buy from a Black Woman E-commerce Grant.
Congratulations again to this year’s grant winners, Francis Shevell of Sassy Cones,
3. The Black Woman Inspire Tour went to 8 cities this year!
4. Buy from a Black Woman’s Founder stepped up and spoke out!
This was the year for our Founder, Nikki Porcher to step out!
This year she had over 15 live speaking engagements (She spoke at a Facebook event this year!) 4 on air media interviews( Did you catch her on GPB/NPR?) wrote a few Opt-Ed pieces (See her take of watching When They See Us) and was recently featured and quoted in the New York Times! (Read that article here!)
5. The Buy from a Black Woman Community!
All of these highlights are amazing but none of it would be possible with out the support of the Buy from a Black Woman Community. This year we have grown and we know it because of the faith and trust you have in our mission and vision. For that we are grateful for your support.
Thank you so much for supporting and believing in Buy from a Black Woman.
We are able to keep going and keep our doors open because there are people like you who make monthly donations, purchased items from the Buy from a Black Woman Inspire Store, and sign your business up to be part of our Buy from a Black Woman Online Directory.
We look forward to having a bigger and more impactful 2020.
We look forward to having your support.
Thank you for supporting Black Women who dream.
